Job Title: Senior Test Automation Specialist

\

The Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Specialist to join its Smarter Journeys Lab. As part of the Colleague Channels Platform, this role will play a crucial part in driving transformation by leading the test automation strategy and delivering quality software solutions into production.

\

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with strong experience in automating functional and regression testing using tools such as Playwright or Selenium/Cypress. The ideal candidate will have expertise in API testing, creating API testing frameworks using tools like Playwright, Rest Assured, and Postman, and developing BDD frameworks with Cucumber.

\

A successful candidate will also possess experience working with DevOps execution of automation tests using Jenkins, GIT Hub, and Agile testing methods & tooling within an Agile team. Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Javascript or Typescript is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement test automation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce manual testing efforts.\
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality software solutions.\
  • Design and develop automated tests using various tools and technologies.\
  • Provide training and upskilling sessions for colleagues on test automation best practices.\
  • Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks to ensure alignment with industry standards.\
  • Conduct feasibility analysis, automation Quotients, and Return of Investment (ROI) articulations to influence enterprise quality roadmaps.\
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.\
  • Work closely with the engineering community to adopt collaboration tools and cultural aspects of Agile.\
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in test automation.\
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance overall quality and efficiency.\
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including engineers, product managers, and executive leaders.\
  • Analyse data to inform decision-making and drive business outcomes.\
  • Develop and maintain documentation for test automation processes and procedures.\
  • Collaborate with the IT department to resolve technical issues related to test automation.\
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.\
  • Travel occasionally to attend meetings and workshops, as needed.\
  • Other duties as assigned by management.\
  • Estimated salary: £68,000-£83,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.\
