**About the Opportunity**

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Operations Assistant to join our team at Acorn by Synergie. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our depot team in the maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery and equipment.

The role requires excellent technical knowledge and a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems. You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality services to our customers across Devon and Somerset.

We offer a competitive salary of £19 per hour, reviewed after 3 months probation, as well as overtime at time and a half. A solid workplace pension plan, company vehicle and phone, and manufacturer-backed training opportunities are also available.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Support the depot team in the maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery and equipment
  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, lubrication and inspection
  • Help keep accurate records of inspections, work performed, and parts used

**Requirements:**

  • City & Guilds or formally qualified to NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in vehicle repair & maintenance preferred or track record of previous relevant experience
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Background in Agriculture, Plant machinery, HGV or similar industries highly desired
