We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Scientist to join our team at the Environment Agency in Starcross, Exeter. As an Assistant Scientist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of analytical services to defined time, cost, and quality targets.

• Assist in the extraction and analysis of environmental samples using various microbiology and molecular testing methods.
• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve common goals and provide excellent customer service.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new laboratory techniques and methods.

• Scientific background through education or work experience.
