Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer / Manufacturing Process Engineer

Location: Berkshire

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £40,000- £48,000 per annum dependent on experience

ZipRecruiter is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Berkshire. The successful candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing principles and excellent knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, and APQP.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the engineering and production team with the manufacture / development of products
  2. Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
  3. Provide engineering support for production activities
  4. Prepare work instructions for manufacturing processes
  5. Be involved in process development
  6. Raise and process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
  7. Ensure all processes comply with Health & Safety requirements
  8. Create and update Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  9. Ensure the correct jigs, fixtures, and tooling are used for all processes
  10. Present monthly reports
  11. Visit suppliers offsite when needed

Requirements:

  1. NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree qualification in an Engineering subject
  2. 4 years' or more experience working in a similar Manufacturing Engineer or Production Engineer role
  3. Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  4. Good knowledge of FMEA, PPAP, and APQP
  5. Experience working with Document Control and BOM
  6. Any knowledge of HSE and COSHH regulations would be beneficial
  7. Familiarity with ISO9001 quality standards
  8. Attention to detail
  9. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  10. Able to work well alone as well as part of a small team
