Interim Financial Systems Specialist

As an Interim Financial Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for understanding the complex structure of the organisation and the current finance processes and procedures. You will then be responsible for selecting and implementing a new finance system that best meets the needs of the organisation. This is predominantly an office-based role, with the opportunity to work from home one day per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the current processes through process maps and system notes, as well as gather future requirements
  • Conduct and lead vendor briefings for the new system, score those vendors and finalise the selection process
  • Work with the vendor on the implementation plan
  • Conduct User Acceptance testing

Additionally, you will be required to assist with some of the Business as Usual processes within finance.

Requirements:

  • Qualified/Qualified by Experience Accountant with a strong understanding of month-end processes
  • Demonstrable experience in producing a set of accounts
  • Experience in setting up a chart of accounts/ implementing new systems would be advantageous

Working with people across the organisation, influencing them and ensuring their buy-in, you must have strong communication and partnering skills. This is a longer-term contract with the opportunity to go permanent, offering a competitive benefits package and a salary of £55,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience.
