Job Description

**Financial Planning Analyst**

At Thames Water, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Planning Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our annual planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in specific aspects of the financial reporting cycle with a critical evaluation lens applied; including Budgeting, Forecasting, and Planning cycles
  • Developing and implementing analytical standards for reporting and modelling KPIs with a view to automation
  • Support in establishing and maintaining internal control framework
  • Providing advice and guidance on all financial reporting matters
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for analytics, through the agreed demand management framework to provide support to business partners for costs visibility, business case preparation, and investigation into financial performance
  • Monitoring of external reporting requirements and researching accounting issues to help drive business efficiencies

Requirements:

  • Accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, CHAE or equivalent)
  • Experience with SAP
  • Strong modelling and solid database skills
  • Experience with planning systems and reporting technology
  • Financial and analytical experience

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary from £55,000 - £62,500 per annum, depending on experience
  • Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (Plus bank holidays)
