About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of vehicles and waste management equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs and waste management equipment to meet health and safety legislation and DVSA requirements.
  • Carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet Biffa's operator's licence commitments.
  • Work with our fleet management team to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and improve vehicle efficiency.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless maintenance operations and minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • Fully skilled having achieved a full level 3 HGV / PSV apprentice qualification/City and Guilds Qualification/NVQ Qualification.
  • Technician level.
  • Must have a minimum of a car/van driving licence.
  • HGV licence desirable.
  • IRTEC Qualification desirable.
