We are seeking an experienced Panel Beater to join our team at Steer Automotive Group in Sunderland. As a vital member of our bodyshop, you will play a crucial role in restoring damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a panel beater or multiskilled technician with a background in accident repair. Strong technical skills and knowledge of panel beating techniques and equipment are essential for success in this position.

We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus performance-related bonuses and benefits including 29 days holiday, pension contributions, referral bonus scheme, and enhanced parental leave.

Job Description:

  • Rewire damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition by repairing and replacing body components.
  • Assess the most effective methods for conducting repairs and use specialist body repair equipment to achieve the best results.
  • Adhere to BSI PAS 10125 and manufacturer repair standards.
  • Collaborate with your team to achieve site targets.
  • Maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail in all repairs.
  • Keep a clean and tidy work area, following health and safety guidelines at all times.

About You:

  • You should have ATA/NVQ qualifications and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and repair damage efficiently.
