Job Title: Financial Clerk

Estimated Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Marc Daniels in Andover. As a key member of our accounting practice, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing day-to-day transactions, and preparing VAT returns.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records by processing day-to-day transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries).
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.
  • Prepare VAT returns and other tax-related filings.
  • Prepare and process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Accounting practice experience would be an advantage.
