Job Title: Deputy Manager for Residential Adolescent Care

Headway Adolescent Resources is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in Bristol. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the needs of young people in our care are met and providing a positive and safe living experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers to provide high-quality childcare.
  • Work with the Children's Home Manager to ensure the residential home runs smoothly and effectively.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of young people in our care.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including safeguarding and whistleblowing.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for staff.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and be available to cover shifts when required.

Requirements:

  • Good overall standard of education.
  • Working towards or hold a Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of childcare legislation, children's home regulations, and quality standards.
  • Hold a QCF Level 3 qualification or be willing to work towards one.
  • Commitment to commence a Level 5 Diploma within 6 months of appointment.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience of working directly with young people with challenging behavior.
  • Excellent report writing and numeracy skills.
  • Well-organized with excellent administration and IT skills.
