This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Records Management professional to join our team at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. As a Senior Records Management Specialist, you will play a key role in improving our Information and Records Management (IRM) capabilities and supporting the delivery of our Microsoft 365 Migration Project.

You will work closely with our Governance, Risk and Compliance team to lead a project to assess current Records Management practices across the College and develop an improvement plan. This will involve working with our Library and Archive Service, Digital Services Team, and other colleagues to embed a comprehensive IRM framework in operational practice and align it with our new digital strategy.

We are looking for someone with a degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in Information Records Management, with sound knowledge of the risks and issues surrounding the management and preservation of physical and digital records. You will also have experience within the Microsoft 365 environment and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a project to assess current Records Management practices across the College
  • Develop an improvement plan to embed a comprehensive IRM framework in operational practice
  • Work closely with the Governance, Risk and Compliance team to support the delivery of the Microsoft 365 Migration Project
  • Collaborate with the Library and Archive Service, Digital Services Team, and other colleagues to achieve project goals

Requirements:
