About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Star Academies. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to our pupils, helping them to succeed and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to pupils, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning plans.
  • Assist pupils with their learning, including reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
  • Help pupils to develop their social and emotional skills, including communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs (Individual Education Plans) for pupils.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and other support staff.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with children in a school setting.
  • Experience of contributing to development, monitoring and review of IEPs.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with students and other adults.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
