Fibre Build Manager Job Description

OCU Group is seeking an experienced Fibre Build Manager to oversee the installation and maintenance of fibre optic networks in South Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cabling and splicing activities to ensure high-quality fibre optic networks.
  • Supervise and manage a team of technicians and support staff to achieve project goals.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors and contract labour as required.
  • Conduct quality checks and ensure contract compliance.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and new company procedures to the workforce.
  • Verify designs and conduct client ECI on allocated works.
  • Manage stock and coordinate site materials.
  • Develop and implement project plans to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborate with clients to agree delivery dates and provide monthly contract programme updates.
  • Attend client liaison meetings and contribute to business development.
  • Record works and track sheets as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous FTTP experience is essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple programmes of work concurrently.
  • Local knowledge of networks and local authorities.
  • Commercial acumen and Microsoft Suite expertise.
  • Previous experience in a similar role (5 years desirable).
  • NRSWA certification.
