Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary: Meridian Business Support is currently working with a leading New Build housing contractor in the North West who are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing several live new build housing projects, monitoring all costs and commercial elements of a project, and ensuring compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing, submitting, and tracking tender documents, budgets, and bills of quantities
* Reviewing and negotiating contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
* Providing detailed cost/budget analysis on a development by development and cost item basis relative to the build programme
* Managing project accounts, monitoring progress, and reporting on any cost overruns and or potential risks
* Ensuring compliance with contractual and statutory requirements
* Attending site visits, conducting on-site surveys, and identifying any potential risks or opportunities
* Conducting site meetings and liaising with site teams to ensure that projects run smoothly
Essential Skills and Requirements:
* Qualified Quantity Surveyor or equivalent construction qualification
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying
* Experience in new build housing projects
* A good understanding of the financial implications of the methods and sequences
