About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Porter to join our team at Medirest, a specialist healthcare operating company providing a range of hotel services to over 130 NHS Trusts and private hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Transportation: Transport patients, medical gas cylinders, equipment, stores, furniture, pharmaceutical, and pathology items throughout the hospital, maintaining response times and standards.
- Logistics: Deliver items, take blood samples, specimens, and medication, and collect linen, case notes, and waste.
- Support: Assist medical staff during emergency situations and receive, record, and prioritise job requests according to agreed procedures.
Requirements
- A full UK driving Licence is desirable but not essential.
- Patient care passion with effective communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet business needs.
- Confidence working in a hospital environment, handling sensitive situations.
