CCTV & Access Control Engineer Job Description

The CCTV & Access Control Engineer is a key member of our team, responsible for installing, testing, and commissioning various types of security equipment, including Axis CCTV systems, Gallagher Security access control products, and perimeter products. This role requires a strong understanding of security systems, including networked/IP systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation, testing, and servicing of CCTV systems, intruder alarms, access control systems, and perimeter products.
  • Constructing Gallagher control cabinets for integration and commissioning on site.
  • Developing a working knowledge of the Gallagher Control Station software for system interrogation and fault finding.
  • Ensuring compliance with our Safety Management System and Quality Management System for site work.
  • Providing callout response for clients as per an agreed callout rota.
  • Working collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms in the commercial sector.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for security systems, including networked/IP systems.
  • Effective planning and management of work.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant standards.
  • CSCS/EUSR/IPAF qualifications.
  • Experience in working on sub-stations and gas sites.
  • A good understanding of IT and networking.
  • Full, valid UK driving license.
