Job Title: Food and Beverage Assistant

Cycas Hospitality is a dynamic and innovative hotel management company that has been recognized as one of the top 30 best places to work in hospitality. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team at Four Points by Sheraton, Edinburgh Haymarket.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food and beverage service are maintained at all times. This includes assisting with the preparation of food and beverage outlets for service, maintaining good food safety and hygiene standards, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the highest standards of food and beverage service are maintained at all times
  • Assist with receiving and storage of goods
  • Maintain good food safety and hygiene standards
  • Assist with the preparation of food and beverage outlets for service
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Establish and maintain effective employee working relationships
  • Attend and participate in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled
  • Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge to enhance the guest experience
  • Demonstrate a service attitude that exceeds expectations
  • Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
  • Appreciate the dynamic nature of the hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers
  • Be able to promote the hotel products and services
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety
Requirements:
  • 2 years previous experience of a similar role within a hotel environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to plan and prioritize
  • Able to multitask
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable approach
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Customer Focus
  • Literate in computer technology
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries
