Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Research Data and Digital Preservation Officer. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting researchers with depositing data into our Research Data Repository and preparing archival material for ingest into our Special Collections Digital Preservation System.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide training and one-to-one support to researchers on data deposit and preservation best practices.
  • Analyze data and develop strategies for effective preservation and management.
  • Collaborate with researchers to develop and implement data management plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest digital preservation and research data environment trends and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of digital preservation and research data management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Working Arrangements:

  • This role may involve occasional evening and weekend work.
