Job Title: Children in Care Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Children in Care Nurse to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to children and young people with complex needs.

As a Children in Care Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering holistic, family-centered care to our patients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a variety of areas, including neurology, cardiac, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to children and young people with complex needs.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff.
Requirements
  • Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
  • Relevant nursing qualification.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development linked to demonstrable competencies.
  • Practice Assessor and Preceptorship course or equivalent.
