Data Link Electronics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Link Electronics Specialist to join our team at MBDA's Data Link Centre of Excellence. As a key member of our systems design team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of cutting-edge Data Link electronics. This role requires strong systems engineering experience, particularly in complex hardware, firmware, and software systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- System design activities, working alongside subject-matter experts in data link design
- Verification and Validation: develop comprehensive strategies for verifying and validating the electrical, mechanical, software, and transversal properties the Data Link
- System Certification support: work alongside the Equipment Design Authority and Test & Evaluation team to provide assurance and certification evidence of the Data Link to facilitate equipment delivery

Requirements:
- Strong systems engineering experience (ideally in a complex hardware, firmware, and software system)
- Experience of Model-Based Systems Engineering / SysML and use of Systems Engineering Tools such as IBM DOORS and Rhapsody
- A desire to develop and grow your systems engineering skills, and to improve the system engineering methods used within the team

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of RF Systems and/or electronics, including design challenges associated with RF circuits, information assurance, and cyber security considerations. You will also have experience of managing engineering work packages to deliver value outcomes, including coordination of other engineering teams and SMEs.
