As a Senior Security Engineer, you will collaborate with software development teams to ensure customer safety while developing novel services. You might inspect applications' code for security issues, build frameworks for faster and more secure software development, or fine-tune service design alongside software developers.

The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with leadership skills and effective communication. They will be a security generalist with one or more areas of deep knowledge and clearly articulate risks to technical and non-technical audiences. Interpersonally, they will harmonize disparate opinions and prioritize risks to guide partners toward secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create, update, and maintain threat models for diverse software projects.
  2. Conduct manual and automated secure code reviews, primarily in Java, Python, and JavaScript.
  3. Develop security automation tools.
  4. Analyze security threats using cutting-edge tools.
  5. Provide security training and outreach to internal development teams.
  6. Offer security architecture and design guidance.
  7. Solve complex security problems independently.
  8. Influence team processes, priorities, and choices to improve outcomes.
Requirements
  1. BS in Computer Science, Information Security, or relevant field with 13+ years of experience in application security, offensive security, and/or systems security.
  2. Understand threat modeling, source code review, security vulnerabilities, attacker exploit techniques, and remediation methods.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to adapt messaging for executive, technical, and non-technical audiences.
  4. Able to drive multiple complex security reviews and provide security guidance to stakeholders while working autonomously.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Demonstrate excellent judgment in assessing and prioritizing technical risk.
  2. Have a strong application security background with scalable solutions.
  3. Experience building and securing complex AWS architecture.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Identify and remove bottlenecks for teammates in process and technology.
