Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Staff Nurse to join our Neonatal Unit at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have energy, commitment, and enthusiasm to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop individualized care plans for infants, ensuring timely and effective delivery of care.
  • Support the Lead Nurse in maintaining high standards of quality, quantity, and timeliness of care, and contribute to the development of the clinical team.
  • Undertake enhanced skills and training to improve patient experience and outcomes, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Person Specification
  • Essential criteria: RN/RSCN/RM, current NMC registration, and ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a group of infants.
  • Desirable criteria: evidence of level 7 study, enhancing neonatal nursing practice course, and leadership course.
