Salary:

The salary for this role is £38,322 per annum, plus a generous benefits package, including a pension scheme and opportunities for training and development.

Job Description:

As a Transformative Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve our ambitions. You will work on one of two roles: The Corporate Information Analyst or The Corporate Performance Analyst. Both roles require a strong analytical skillset, excellent communication skills, and a strong people and partnership focus.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Highly-developed skills in manipulating and modelling large and complex data sets
  • Proficient user of Excel, Power BI, and ideally other data analysis, modelling & comparison tools to enable tailored response to specific briefs
  • Strong expertise and ability across a broad range of analytic and research approaches, both quantitative and qualitative
  • A demonstrable ability to convey and present approaches, findings and recommendations in a way that can engage non-technical and senior audiences, using appropriate reporting and visualisation tools and techniques
  • Excellent judgement with a proven consultative ability in a data context
  • The capability to develop expert knowledge of the data generated and held by The National Archives and the systems within which it is maintained
  • Meticulous organisation skills and attention to detail with a proven ability to set up and manage robust monitoring, tracking, version/source-data control, and quality assurance processes
  • Proven effectiveness working autonomously and on own initiative, with the ability to identify opportunities, advocate for more strategic approaches and proactively shape a portfolio of work that adds value to the organisation

Benefits:

In addition to your salary, you will also be entitled to a generous benefits package, including a pension scheme and opportunities for training and development. This is a full-time post, but we are open to considering flexible working arrangements. You will be required to travel to our Kew site regularly, but some home working may also be possible.
