Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Room Leader to join our team at Bright Horizons Dandelions Day Nursery and Preschool. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of early years professionals to deliver exceptional care and education to our young children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team to deliver high-quality care and education to children aged 0-3 years
  • Develop and implement engaging learning programs that meet the individual needs of each child
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, colleagues, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Ensure the nursery environment is safe, healthy, and stimulating for children, with a focus on promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make data-driven decisions to improve outcomes
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment for children and staff

Requirements:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working in an early years setting, ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, or Early Years Educator
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and relevant legislation
  • Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and curriculum design
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with colleagues, parents, and children
