We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Culinary Services Manager to join our team at Tolson Grange in Huddersfield. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading the culinary services department and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented chef to take on a leadership role and make a real impact on the lives of our residents. You will work closely with the Chef Manager to develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the Chef Manager and manage all aspects of catering, including menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery.
  • Supervise and train catering assistants to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality service.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for staff and residents.
  • Minimise waste and use equipment efficiently to reduce costs and environmental impact.
Requirements
  • Intermediate or level 3 food hygiene certificate with Cater Craft or similar award.
  • Health and safety legislation, including COSHH and food safety standards.
  • Proven experience in chef and people management, with a track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Basic knowledge of dietary requirements relating to older people.
  • Safe use of kitchen equipment, including knives.

  • Able to negotiate, influence, organise time, and prioritise activities.
  • Flexible, innovative, and able to work as part of a team and individually.
