Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at NRL Recruitment. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a wide range of building services, including electrical systems, heating and domestic water services, and emergency standby generating plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the shift team and provide support to working colleagues
  • Carry out maintenance, repairs, testing, and inspection of building, mechanical, and electrical services, associated systems, plant, and equipment in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures
  • Participate in a rotating shift pattern to provide a 24/7/365 service
  • Provide cover for absent colleagues as appropriate to maintain the service
  • Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory, NHS, Trust, and Company guidelines
  • Maintain, service, and repair a wide range of building services, including electrical control systems, building management systems, and fire alarm systems
  • Have an awareness of operational procedures and safe working practices of major items of plant and systems
  • Maintain records and complete service reports as appropriate, providing regular reports on progress to your line manager
  • On occasion, carry out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works
  • Assist other skilled trades in carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection, and installation work
  • Undertake training to maintain and develop skills in line with the requirements of the service
  • Act as Competent or Authorised Person as directed and appointed
  • Liaise and undertake duties at other healthcare projects as directed
  • Undertake overtime as required to maintain the service
Requirements
  • Highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician with experience in maintaining, servicing, and repairing a wide range of building services
  • Ability to lead a shift team and provide support to working colleagues
  • Strong understanding of operational procedures and safe working practices of major items of plant and systems
  • Ability to maintain records and complete service reports as appropriate
  • Ability to work in a rotating shift pattern and provide cover for absent colleagues as required
