Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Physiotherapist to join our team as a Functional Assessor. This is a hybrid role that offers a great work-life balance, with 9 to 5 hours and true hybrid working. As a Functional Assessor, you will assess individuals and how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life. You will draw on your clinical expertise to listen carefully and take down each person's medical history before performing a physical examination. You will then produce concise, accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) so they can decide each person's eligibility for benefits.

The role involves meeting people both face-to-face and via telephone/video. You will be sensitive, compassionate and able to ask the right questions while upholding best practice standards. You will also have the opportunity to undertake professional and personal development with a wide range of training and coaching to expand your capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess individuals and how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life.
  • Draw on your clinical expertise to listen carefully and take down each person's medical history before performing a physical examination.
  • Produce concise, accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) so they can decide each person's eligibility for benefits.
  • Meet people both face-to-face and via telephone/video.

Requirements

  • Continuous Professional Development present on CV.
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • IT skills and experience of using a range of software.
  • Self-aware and focused on professional development.
  • Motivated to contribute to quality customer service, demonstrating empathy, respect and sensitivity in assessment delivery.
