Voltix Services Ltd, a leading provider of integrated facility management solutions, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas (Combustion) Bias Engineer to join our team.

This role demands an experienced professional with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to maintain and repair diverse building systems across various locations.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will encompass both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, executed through our operational platform within specified timeframes. These tasks may include:

  • Performing routine maintenance on HVAC systems and mechanical & electrical (M&E) equipment such as pumps and pressurization units.
  • Carrying out basic electrical and plumbing work.
  • Conducting emergency lighting tests and recording tap temperatures.
Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Proven experience working in a commercial environment.
  • A comprehensive understanding of building systems and building services maintenance.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Valid Commercial Gas Safe qualifications (Commercial gas, catering & Oftec (oil) certified is advantageous).

Essential Gas Safe Qualifications:

  • COCN1 Core Commercial Gas Safety Course
  • CODNCO1 Changeover Domestic to Commercial
  • ICPN1 Installation First Fix on Commercial Pipework
  • CIGA1 Indirect Fired Commercial Appliances
  • CDGA1 Direct Fired Commercial Appliances
  • CORT1 Overhead Radiant Tube & Radiant Plaque Heaters
  • TPCP1a Tightness Testing & Direct Purging of Pipework (not exceeding 1m in volume or 6in diameter)
  • MET4 Diaphragm Gas Meter Course

A minimum of 3 years of experience as a combustion engineer, working on electrical and plumbing systems.

A strong understanding of Health and Safety practices and their application.

What We Offer

• Competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, with overtime opportunities based on qualifications and experience.

• 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

• Company pension scheme (Employer contributes 3%, Employee minimum contribution 3%).

• Benenden Healthcare after a successful probationary period.

• Working hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Flexible working hours may be required during busy periods.
