Automation Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team at Hunter Selection Limited. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems within the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete life cycle project execution, from planning to commissioning and service.
  • Design and develop software for PLC/PC-based control systems, ensuring high-quality and efficient solutions.
  • Participate in testing and commissioning of plants, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including clarification of requirements and participation in customer meetings.
  • Develop and maintain standards and procedures for automation projects, ensuring consistency and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Siemens S7 & TIA or Allen Braley, with a strong understanding of PLC/PC-based control systems.
  • Proficiency in WinCC and AVEVA, with experience in designing and developing automation solutions.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with experience working in a customer-facing role.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites for commissioning and service, with a valid driver's license.
  • Experience working in the process, food, or beverage industry, with a strong understanding of automation principles and practices.
