The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical engineering and a proven track record of working with medical devices. You will be part of a multi-specialist team of engineers who provide expert advice to the department and the wider Trust.
The Clinical Engineering service at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is a leading provider of medical device related services, with a strong focus on research, education, and innovation. We are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and improving health outcomes through the effective management of medical technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert consultancy on medical device clinical applications, technologies, research, management, safety, and related regulatory matters
- Work closely with the Medical Engineering & Instrumentation Unit (MEIU) to support the development and production of novel medical devices
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure effective management of medical technology
- Contribute to the development of clinical engineering policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Strong background in clinical engineering and medical devices
- Proven track record of working with medical devices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
