About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Graduate Teaching Assistant (SEN) to join our team in supporting students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored support to students with SEN, promoting inclusive learning environments.
  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives, fostering academic growth and confidence.
  • Provide assistance with classroom activities and differentiated learning tasks, ensuring students receive the support they need.
  • Support students in developing independence and confidence in their abilities, promoting a growth mindset.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff members to implement individual education plans (IEPs), ensuring a comprehensive approach to student support.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree in Education or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in teaching and learning.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students with SEN, providing a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Be committed to promoting inclusion and equal opportunities for all students, upholding the values of GSL Education.
