About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team at Bupa's Trowbridge Oaks Care Home. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the care home remains functional and safe for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repair tasks to a high standard, minimizing disruption to residents and visitors.
  • Contribute to the management of the maintenance budget, taking the lead as necessary.
  • Perform ad-hoc internal decoration of accessible areas, maintaining a high standard of finish.
  • Report unrepairable defects to management, escalating or seeking specialist repair if required.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety checks and policies, adhering to guidelines at all times.
  • Work on call as required to support the care home outside of hours.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will hold a building/electrical/plumbing qualification or have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a property maintenance or general repairs role. A full driving license is essential. Previous experience in a site management role and managing consultants, contractors, and suppliers would be advantageous.
