Job Title: Senior Practitioner - Social Work with Families

We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our team in Croydon Council's Children's Services. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing leadership and expertise in social work with families, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to social workers in the team, promoting best practice and high standards of care.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based plans to support children and families, working closely with other agencies and professionals.
  • Conduct assessments and provide expert advice on complex cases, ensuring that children's needs are met and their safety is ensured.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children, families, and other stakeholders, promoting trust and confidence in the service.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring that they are effective and meet the needs of children and families.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Social Worker with up-to-date registration with Social Work England.
  • Foundation level systemic practice qualification desirable.
  • Practice Educator or Practice Teacher qualification desirable.
  • Knowledge of national policy, strategy, and developments regarding children's social care.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, standards, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant theoretical frameworks, practice models, and research findings.
