About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our European region. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing a team of logistics professionals to ensure the smooth execution of our freight forwarding operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and control all operational activities on a day-to-day basis
  • Manage and develop team members to achieve operational objectives
  • Monitor activity to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Maintain awareness of company products and services
  • Prepare performance progress reports for senior management
  • Ensure effective month-end procedures are in place
  • Regularly review credit limits and VAT/Duty exposure
  • Review and update customer rate profiles as required
  • Handle employee absences in line with company policy
  • Manage team holiday requirements and ensure daily operations are covered
  • Develop strong working relationships with key customers and suppliers
  • Communicate health and safety and insurance/legal compliance issues
  • Provide constructive input to weekly team meetings
Requirements
  • Previous experience as an Operations Supervisor in freight forwarding
  • Well-organized, prioritizing, and working within key deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work methodically
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
  • Flexible, adaptable, and open-minded with a proactive approach to process improvement
  • Self-motivated with a drive for success and a desire to build a great place to work
