About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our product team at DiverseJobsMatter. As a key member of our agile delivery environment, you will work closely with the business to deliver and maintain software for our internal and external customers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that has recently achieved significant successes and is now looking to build on this momentum with new projects in the pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Focus on delivering high-quality software that meets the needs of our customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to blend user feedback and best practices to evolve our software delivery
  • Continuously inspect and adapt our delivery processes to ensure we are delivering software efficiently and effectively
  • Utilize great testing principles, TDD, and automation to ensure the quality of our software
  • Adopt a 'build to run' mindset to ensure our software is easy to support and operate
  • Improve the lives of other engineers by making it easier for them to do their jobs
  • Contribute to a team that is greater than the sum of its parts
About You

We are looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about the craft of software delivery and has a strong desire to build great software for our business.

You will have experience in commercial Java and one or more of the following technologies: Spring Boot microservices, React and Node.js frontend web application development, database technologies such as PostgreSQL, messaging technologies such as ActiveMQ or Kafka, continuous integration and continuous deployment, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Kubernetes platforms such as OpenShift.

Requirements
  • Commercial Java experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following technologies: Spring Boot microservices, React and Node.js frontend web application development, database technologies such as PostgreSQL, messaging technologies such as ActiveMQ or Kafka, continuous integration and continuous deployment, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Kubernetes platforms such as OpenShift
  • Aptitude and passion for building great software
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team
