About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and analytical Finance Data Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial data, and proficiency in BI tools and software.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven insights to support the company's financial decision-making process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyse, and interpret financial data to support business decisions.
  • Create customer-focused reporting that analyses key data sets such as revenue, operational performance, trade, and market.
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Provide key data insights to customers and key stakeholders to help improve profitability and business performance.
  • Create financial models to predict future trends and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Business Intelligence Tools: Utilise BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL) to extract, manipulate, and visualise data.
  • Maintain and improve the company's BI infrastructure to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Train and support team members in using BI tools and interpreting data.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Support the financial planning process by providing data-driven insights.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Collaborate with finance and business teams to develop performance metrics and KPIs.
  • Identify trends and patterns in financial data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial reporting and analysis processes.
  • Develop and implement best practices for data management and analysis.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in BI tools and techniques.
Requirements
  • Experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and data analysis techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial modelling.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
