Nuclear Waste Services is seeking a Pension Specialist to join our team. As a Pension Specialist, you will be responsible for managing our pension schemes, ensuring their smooth operation, and providing expert advice to our employees and stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the day-to-day administration of our pension schemes, including processing pension claims and resolving any issues that may arise.
  2. Provide expert advice to our employees and stakeholders on pension-related matters, including pension scheme rules and regulations.
  3. Work closely with our third-party administrator to ensure the effective delivery of pension services.
  4. Manage the risk benefits renewal process, ensuring that our pension schemes are robust and efficient.
  5. Perform administration and ad-hoc activities, including support for the monthly payroll element reports, contribution, and change report files for the various pension schemes.

Requirements:

  1. Strong pension experience, preferably in a delivery role.
  2. Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with other parts of the HR function and pension trustees.
  3. Prior experience in a pensions delivery role, ideally with Guaranteed Minimum Pensions (GMP) experience.
  4. A recognized pensions qualification is preferred.
