About the Role:

Carrington West is seeking a dedicated Arboriculture Specialist to join their clients' Forestry Group team. This vital role involves ensuring the safety and health of roadside and county trees by conducting regular inspections, monitoring diseases such as Ash die-back, and maintaining tree inventories.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of trees adjacent to highways and other council-owned sites to identify potential hazards and defects.
• Provide detailed reports on tree conditions, recommending remedial actions where necessary.
• Monitor and report on the progression of Ash die-back, and suggest management solutions.
• Maintain and update computerised tree inventories and inspection records.
• Issue work instructions to contractors and supervise the completion of tree-related works.
• Stay updated with the latest in forestry and arboriculture practices.

What You'll Need:

• Minimum BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Arboriculture or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of technical experience in forestry or arboriculture, with a focus on tree health management.
