Job Title: Training and Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Training and Development Specialist to join our team at Sja's West. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering training courses, conducting assessments, and maintaining subject and professional competence.

About Us:

Sja's West is a leading provider of first aid services, training, and campaigning. We work at the heart of communities, supporting and enabling them to access and receive physical and mental health first aid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training courses and conduct assessments to a professional and consistent standard
  • Maintain own subject and professional competence in accordance with organisational requirements
  • Build security, open and close venues, and lone work
  • Work with permanent staff, casual workers, and volunteers to maintain good relationships and high standards of training and assessing
  • Pilot new initiatives in training when required

Requirements:

  • Trainers with an Assessing and Training Qualification at Level 3 or above
  • Experience of teaching, coaching, assessing, and/or presenting to groups of adults
  • People who are passionate, adaptable, and engaging
  • Car owner and driver with insurance to cover business use (mileage paid); or have access to suitable public or private transport
  • Enhanced DBS check is a requirement for this role

Location:

The role is based in our offices located in the UK. You will be working closely with our team of trainers and assessors to deliver training courses and conduct assessments across the region.

Working Hours:

This is a part-time position, working 7-hour days, minimum 3 days per week due to the length of our courses.
