We are seeking a skilled Class 1 driver to join our team at The Scunthorpe Steel Works. As a temp to perm position is available, the right candidate will have the opportunity to secure a permanent role.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years driving experience is essential, with steel industry experience not being a necessity.
You will be responsible for operating a combination of Flatbeds and Trombone trailers around the site and to stockholders across the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Safely securing loads using chain and strapping methods.
- Multi-drop deliveries would be advantageous in this role.
Working Hours:
- Monday - Friday
- A 48-55 hour workweek is standard, with start times typically between 04:00-06:00.
- The ability to adapt and perform overtime when needed is crucial.
