Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to students with SEN in the absence of the classroom teacher
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs and learning styles
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO's and other staff to provide targeted support
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and staff
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students at all times
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies and procedures
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support a diverse range of needs. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to work well within a team. Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting young people is essential. You will have Level 3 or 4 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools, Level 4 Diploma in Childcare and Education, or other relevant qualifications in nursery work or childcare. Qualified Teacher Status is preferable but not essential.
