Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Coach to join our team at Tower Hamlets Council Pension Fund. As a Disability Sports Coach, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality sports coaching programs to young people with varying abilities, skills, and needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging and inclusive sports sessions for young people, focusing on their individual needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with our team to create a comprehensive sports-based youth work curriculum, ensuring that more young people realize the benefits of participating in sports and physical activity.
- Support young people to participate in further competitions and opportunities, such as School Games, District Sport, and London Youth Games, providing pathways for young people to pursue excellence in their chosen sports.
- Recruit and coordinate a team of Volunteer Sports Coaches to further enable opportunities and support across the borough.
- Forge partnerships with local sports clubs and National Governing Bodies for each sport, providing a talent pathway for young people to pursue excellence in their chosen sports.
Requirements
- Qualified Sports Coach in at least one of the identified sports (hockey, cricket, athletics, badminton, basketball, and girls' football).
- Sport-specific coaching knowledge and experience of delivering progressive sports-based sessions.
- Experience of working with young people in a sports-specific environment.
