KS1 Teaching Assistant with SEND Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Salford. This long-term role offers the opportunity to work closely with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and support their educational development.

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the class teacher in delivering daily lessons, providing individualized attention to students, and facilitating small group sessions. Your role will also involve working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.

This position is ideal for individuals who possess a Level 1, 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have experience working with children with additional needs. You should be confident in building effective relationships with adults and pupils alike, as well as possessing excellent ICT skills and a valid DBS certificate.

About the Role

This full-time position involves working 5 days a week, from 8:30am to 3:30pm, and requires flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances. The successful candidate will be expected to support the class teacher in managing classroom activities, supervising students during break times, and assisting with lunchtime duties.

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £22,500 - £25,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
