About the Role

Kemp Recruitment is seeking a skilled HGV Trailer/Tanker Technician to join their team in a fleet maintenance company based in Leeds. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, and modification work on the fleet of HGV trailers and tankers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGV trailers and tankers, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Conduct fault diagnosis and analysis to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Comply with warranty procedures and ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Work closely with the workshop controller to ensure all vehicle defects are reported and addressed.
  • Fabricate components, perform tank pressure tests, and repair accident damage to tanker body work.
  • Regularly work with hydraulics and pneumatics systems.

Requirements

  • Hold an HGV licence Class 1.
  • Be a fully qualified HGV Trailer/Tanker Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of commercial vehicles, HGV trailers, and tankers.
