Job Description

The successful candidate will be working with children under 5 in our nursery, gaining valuable practical experience in childcare. The role involves working as part of a team to create safe and supportive learning environments, planning opportunities to enhance children's development, and completing observations linked to the early years curriculum.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • a caring and compassionate nature
  • An interest in child development and how children learn
  • The ability to be a positive role model to the children in their care
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

You will also need to hold a level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, or be willing to work towards one. A paediatric first aid qualification is also required.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £6.55 per hour, increasing to £10 per hour after 6 months, and £11.44 per hour after 12 months for those aged 21 or over. You will also receive a 'congratulations' payment of £300 upon completing the level 3 apprenticeship. Other benefits include a range of perks, including complimentary breakfast, lunch, and refreshments, as well as fully-paid enhanced DBS checks.
