Job Summary:

We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Health, Safety, and Environmental Coordinator - Apprenticeship. This challenging and rewarding role will support the HSE Team in ensuring Health & Safety and Environmental processes and procedures are followed on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of company Health Safety and Environment (HSE) procedures and standards through supporting the implementation and embedding of the Intersnack Work System (IWS) HSE Pillar tools at site level.
  • Assist in accident and incident investigations to ensure that root cause is established and both corrective and preventative actions are identified and implemented.
  • Assist in Risk assessment and Job Safety procedures completion as well as identifying appropriate control measures or solutions to eliminate risks.
  • Prepare and present HSE Data/presentations as required at Safety Committee or Line Structure level (Safety Briefs etc).
  • Engage, communicate and be proactive and visible especially during No-Fly zones to support site improvements, behaviours, and culture.
  • Conduct internal Health, Safety, Environmental and Energy audits to ensure legal compliance, identifying root cause for any failings with appropriate preventative actions.

Requirements:

  • 5 GCSE with Maths and English
  • Eager to develop competency and qualifications in HSE.
  • Able to demonstrate effective communication skills.
  • Good understanding of Office computer applications
  • Have ability to present and deliver information to others at all levels
  • Nebosh Health and Safety Certificate (Must pass during apprenticeship)
  • Challenge of status quo to drive best practice and improvement opportunities.
