Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at an SEN school in Blandford Forum. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide individualized support to students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and other special needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with learning difficulties and challenging behaviors in a supportive and inclusive environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide one-to-one support to students during lessons and activities
  • Help students develop social skills, life skills, and self-help skills
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
Requirements:
  • Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of Autism and/or Special Educational Needs
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations
  • Good team player with a positive attitude
