Verification and Test Engineer for RF/Microwave Systems

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Verification and Test Engineer to join our team at Teledyne UK Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing test methodologies for our microwave power module and TWT development programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop test plans and procedures to ensure compliance with customer, internal, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with electronics and microwave tube engineers to diagnose and resolve system and component level performance issues
  • Work with test facilities equipment owners to assemble and develop test set-ups and plan testing
  • Execute test plans and write test reports to demonstrate compliance

Requirements

  • Knowledge of microwave theory, equipment, and test processes
  • Experience working with microwave amplifier systems, from mW to W
  • Test planning experience, working from customer, internal, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience working on defence electronics systems and projects
  • SC clearable

Desirable Skills

  • SC cleared
  • Experience working with tube-based amplifiers, including Travelling Wave Tubes (TWTs)
  • Understanding of electronics related to power supplies and amplifiers
  • Experience using MIL-STD's and MIL-SPEC's
