Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Team Leader, responsible for the electrical maintenance and repair of heavy plant and equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe working practices and produce Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Act as the site Authorized Person for the issuing and control of Permitted activities.
  • Assist in the management of ongoing engineering maintenance activities.
  • Work with the Engineering Planner to maximize the use of available resources.
  • Coordinate Statutory Electrical requirements such as Inspection and Testing, Portable Appliance Testing, Fire Alarms, and Emergency Lighting.
  • Maintain a good standard of housekeeping throughout the workshops.
  • Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repairs to power and control systems, plant, and equipment.
  • Provide support and resources where needed for Project works.
  • Carry out inspections and audits, giving advice, feedback, and support on both engineering quality and safety standards.
  • Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve efficiencies.
  • Identify future training needs and carry out training for Engineers.
  • Promote continuous improvement of energy efficiency.
  • Ensure the accurate and detailed recording of engineering works, administration, personnel, health, and safety information.
