Machinist Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist Specialist to join our team in the Cambridge/East Anglia area. This is a pivotal role supporting our work across a wide range of sites Nationally.
This position involves working on waterways utilities and construction sites, requiring experience in these sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for using their expertise to assist in the scoping of works, preparation of method statements and risk assessments.
The ideal candidate will have a background in waterways or construction with some experience using Vegetation / Forestry Equipment. They will possess relevant qualifications, such as CPCS Cardholder and 360 Excavator certification, and have at least 5 years of experience in the role.
Responsibilities- Assist in the scoping of works and preparation of method statements and risk assessments
- Use experience to ensure compliance with legislation, including Health and Safety at Work LOLER COSHH
- Operate plant or equipment as trained and competent to use, including specialized attachments
- Complete routine maintenance and lubrication of equipment
- Report damage to equipment and maintain clean and tidy working environment
We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a benefits package that includes:
